Ron Coleman got an Instalanche, which brought his work to the attention of the New York Times, attention that in turn earned him a nasty attack by Media Matters.
This is how it works. The more a conservative succeeds, the more he's targeted for smears, the geneal object being to intimidate the Right into silence, or at least to discourage the major media from treating conservatism as a legitimate viewpoint.
There's no point complaining, since the same intellectual thuggery has been unleashed against every conservative spokesman since Bill Buckley published God and Man at Yale in 1951. Defamation is liberalism's habitual response to its antagonists. What was good enough for Buckley -- and Joe McCarthy and Barry Goldwater, and Ronald Reagan and Newt Gingrich, and Rush Limbaugh and Michelle Malkin -- ought to be good enough for us, and we should take pride in being vilified by the acolytes of error.
